Primary Software Used: SOLIDWORKS
This was a exercise in locating the center of mass. It was drawn using 4 lofts, 2 fillet's and 2 dome features. There are 21 sketches and 18 planes used to create the model. I have 3D printed many of them, they all balance very well at the bent beak.
This was my first SolidWorks Project several years ago. The parts were drawn in 2D and imported into SolidWorks to become 3D parts. Then they became my first assembly. The drawings were then imported into CorelDraw to be transferred to our Epilog laser were I cut most of the parts from clear Acrylic, 1/8" and 1/4" sheets . 1/4" by 1/4 Acrylic strips were cut on a table saw to join everything together. The wingspan is 72" and the fuselage is 58" . The cord on the wings starts at 13 1/4" and tappers to 9 3/4". I used acrylic glue for assembly. Had a lot of fun.
